If you've been pregnant or know someone who has had children, you may know something about folic acid. Now research says it may decrease the chance of having a child with autism.
Researchers say women who took a supplement before pregnancy and during the first three months lowered their babies' risk by 40%.
Folic acid is also found in dark green, leafy vegetables, fortified cereals and breads.
Dr. Louis Papa talked with Lia Lando about this new research on Roc City Tonight.
