A Georgia man is behind bars in Rochester after police say he illegally sold dozens of handguns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition locally.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says Liddon Young sold guns and ammunition to a Rochester-based associate over the past four months and that person then sold the items to others.

Police arrested Young last week.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says federal agents and local police recovered 14 handguns, more than 800 rounds of ammunition and a bulletproof vest.

If convicted, Young faces a maximum of 10 years in prison.
