NY man asleep in drive-through faces DWI charge

A western New York man faces a drunken driving charge after he passed out behind the wheel in a restaurant drive-through lane.
Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies were called to a Tim Horton's restaurant in the western New York town of Hanover at 3:45 a.m. Saturday. They found 24-year-old Eladio Merced of Dunkirk asleep in his running vehicle in the drive-through.
Merced was arraigned on a charge of driving while intoxicated and sent to Chautauqua County Jail to await a future appearance in Hanover Town Court.
