One year ago, four children were killed in a house fire on Grape Street that their mother admitted to setting by lighting pictures and tossing them on a dresser after drinking and taking sleeping pills.
Gage Reavey, Greg, Kandee and Kaiden Kugler died after becoming trapped by the flames.
On Monday night, there was a candlelight vigil outside the home.
On that night, two other boys escaped by jumping out of a second story window. Colleen Bender's son was one of them. She says her son is still recovering from injuries he suffered that night and he still has nightmares.
Colleen Bender, son escaped fire, said, "I know he loves them and he misses them. He tells me that. He wanted to be here with everybody, but he thinks the nightmares might get worse. We all know how it feels and what everybody's gone through. we just love them and we miss them more than anything."
Bobbie Kugler pleaded guilty to assault, arson and manslaughter. She was sentenced in January to 7 to 15 years in prison. Prosecutors say they never thought Kugler intended to kill her children, but ultimately, her recklessness caused their deaths.
