Dog killed, eight people displaced in LeFrois Street house fire

Three adults and five children heard smoke detectors and escaped a fire overnight at their home on LeFrois Street in Rochester.

Fire officials say the fire was started by a space heater on the porch. The flames spread through the first and second floors.

The family’s dog was killed in the fire.
