A 28-year-old Rochester man has been arrested on harassment, arson, menacing and criminal contempt charges.

Both the Rochester Police and Fire Department responded to a home on Smith Street on January 24 for a person burning property outside an occupied home. Police say they were called to the same home the previous day for a domestic incident.

Investigators tell News10NBC the suspect -- Melsam Moyd -- fought with a female, menaced her with a knife and then burned her property outside the home.

No one was injured in the incident.

Moyd is currently being held in the Monroe County Jail.
