Research: Suspended kids more likely to drop out of school

The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests suspending or expelling children from school could end up creating more serious problems.

Research shows students who are expelled or given out of school suspension are 10 times more likely to drop out of high school.

The Academy says it does not support zero tolerance policies in schools. It recommends administrators consider punishments on a case by case basis.
