New Jersey has become the third state in the nation to legalize gambling over the Internet and it's a safe bet that other states will follow suit.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie yesterday signed a bill that made online gambling legal in his state. The bill was revised to include changes like setting a 10-year trial period for online betting, and raising taxes on the Atlantic City casinos' online winnings from 10 to 15 percent.

New Jersey joins Nevada and Delaware in passing laws that legalize Internet betting. People can also bet at offshore sites, which are neither taxed nor regulated.
