Reduce risk of Type 2 diabetes by sitting less

Doctors may help patients reduce their risk for Type 2 diabetes with a prescription to sit less and stand up more.
Researchers in the UK analyzed patients from several studies and found patients may be better off when they're advised to curb their time sitting or lying down rather than exercise more often.
Experts recommend reducing sedentary time by 90 minutes a day.
