Car crashes into two poles on 490 west

Early Thursday morning, a car crashed into two poles on 490 west in Gates, trapping the driver.

Deputies say around 1:30 a.m., the driver lost control of the car, went off 490 near Buffalo Road., hit a light pole and then hit a support pole for an overhead sign. Emergency crews had to take the roof off the car to get the driver out.

The driver, whose name has not been released, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.
