Three people are in police custody in connection with an assault on a 27-year-old woman in Geneva.

Geneva Police were called to Central and Hogarth Avenues around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday for the report of an assault. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim with serious injuries to her face/cheek and stomach caused by a knife.

Investigators say the suspects were later stopped getting off the Thruway at the Manchester exit and taken into custody.

Amber Lynn Hellinger, 24 of Shortsville, is charged with first-degree assault. Two men, 33-year-old Juan Perez of Rochester and 27-year-old Jeremy Tiller of Rochester, are currently being held on parole violations.

Police say more charges are pending.

The victim is being treated at Geneva General Hospital.
