Six apartments damaged in fire

Six apartments were damaged when a fire broke out at an apartment building in Irondequoit Monday night.
Crews were called to the Portland Parkway apartments around 5:15 p.m. for the report of an apartment fire. We’re told the fire was contained to the first floor apartment where it started.
No one was hurt but that apartment was heavily damaged and five others in the building had smoke and water damage.
The cause of that fire is still under investigation.
