In an effort to fight hunger in the Rochester area and in the honor of the Easter season, a local egg farmer donated more than 36,000 fresh eggs to Foodlink.
Workers from Kreher’s Egg Farm unloaded pallets of fresh eggs at the Foodlink building on Mount Read Boulevard.
Foodlink says eggs are an important item for food banks because of their nutritional value. They are also one of the hardest food items to donate.
