A large group of gun owners in New York State is taking its objection to the SAFE Act to court.
The New York affiliate of the National Rifle Association filed a lawsuit Thursday afternoon in federal court. The court papers say the SAFE Act infringes on the right of law-abiding citizens to keep "commonly possessed" guns in the home for family defense.
The lawsuit asks the court to repeal the entire SAFE Act.
