Newark man pleads guilty to possessing child pornography

A Newark man has pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography.
David Mullie, 49, of Newark, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography before U.S. District Court Judge Charles J. Siragusa.
According to the assistant U.S. Attorney who is handling the case, a family member alerted police after finding sexually explicit photos on Mullie's computer. Investigators uncovered more than 600 images of children including prepubescent children, being sexually abused.
Mullie will be sentenced on September 12. He faces 10 years in prison, a fine of $250,000 and supervised release for life.
