A Farmington man is facing charges after investigators say he drove recklessly and ran from deputies.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office tells News10NBC that deputies observed 32-year-old Joshua Schond in the Wade's Market parking lot in Farmington around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night. They say he was driving reckless in the parking lot, spinning his tires and fish tailing his vehicle.
Deputies say they tried to pull over Schond on Mertensia Road, but he refused to stop and continued on to Tidd Circle. Deputies say that's when he fled from his vehicle on foot.
Schond was found by deputies a short time later and arrested on charges of reckless driving, unlawful fleeing a police officer, aggravated unlicensed operation.
He was released and will reappear in Farmington Town Court at a later date.
