Police: Canandaigua man hit bartender with snow shovel, bit patron's finger

A Canandaigua man is charged with assault after police say he hit a bartender with a snow shovel and bit another customer.
Lewis R. Knight, 39, of Canandaigua, is charged with two counts of assault. Police say Knight struck the bartender on his left arm with a snow shovel and bit a customer's finger at the Farmer's Inn on Coach Street on Wednesday.
The bartender was treated by Canandaigua Ambulance at the scene and the male customer was taken for Thompson Hospital to be treated for some cuts and a broke finger.
Knight was arraigned in Canandaigua City Court and taken to the Ontario County Jail without bail.
