The town and village boards met Tuesday night to discuss fire protection in Macedon.
The Village of Macedon Fire Department responds to fire calls in the village and town south of the Erie Canal. Macedon Center patrols the area north. Last month, News10NBC reported that the town wants to cut ties with the village. It says it doesn't trust the village to provide it with the services it needs.
The chief of the village fire departments say the town presented four plans to the village board and the village board presented one plan to the town. Chief Tim Wilcox says both bodies will look over the other's plans and discuss the pros and cons. He says it is up to the town board to pick a date where both boards will report back.
