Federal investigators have been combing over video and pictures from the scene of the Boston Marathon Bombings, to help find who is responsible. Those pictures have been sent in by people who were there that horrible day, and that includes people from our area.
Michael Mesolella, from Chili, took these pictures at the scene of the first explosion, before the blast. It shows a very happy and exciting time, just like at the finish line of any other marathon. But when Mesolella was taking these pictures, he says he never thought he'd be submitting them to the FBI, to help in a federal investigation. He's hoping his pictures can help lead authorities to the person who committed this horrific attack..
“Well I was standing in the spot where the bomb went off and I took a couple of pictures. I would hope that anyone who took pictures would send it in. It's the right thing to do to help out our country solve this horrific act so that we can prevent this person from doing something else, and doing more harm to other people,” said Mesolella.
The FBI is examining thousands of photos from before and after the attacks. At this time, the FBI says there are still no claims of responsibility. The range of suspects and motives remains wide-open.
