Wealth gap grows

The rich just got richer. New census data out Wednesday shows the average net worth of the wealthiest Americans increased by 30-percent to more than 3-million dollars between 2009 and 2011.

According to the report, the rest of the nation's net worth -- the majority of Americans -- lost about four-percent of their money.

Pew Center researchers say the reason for the gap might be because wealthier people often invest in stocks and bonds while other Americans put more of their money into their homes.
