Three Rochester residents are facing charges after police say they robbed a bicyclist on North Clinton Avenue shortly after midnight.

Police say the suspects – 18-year-old Amos Harring, 16-year-old Maxwell Boards and a juvenile – confronted the victim and blocked his path. Investigators say the juvenile displayed a gun while another suspect stole the victim’s cell phone and took off.

A short time later, police say officers spotted the suspects and took them into custody. According to police, they recovered the gun and stolen cell phone.

All three are charged with robbery, grand larceny and criminal possession of a weapon.
