A Thruway rest stop is back open to travelers Thursday night. It had to be shut down for about an hour after truck began leaking jet fuel.

The Thruway Authority says the tractor trailer had some sort of problem while it was at the Clifton Springs rest stop Thursday evening. The rest stop is between the Manchester and Geneva exits, heading eastbound on the Thruway.

Someone called 911 around 6:00p.m. News10NBC was told about 50 gallons of jet fuel spilled.

The Thruway Authority says officials determined the spill was contained and not a hazard and reopened the rest stop to passengers a little after 7:00p.m.
