A special graduation ceremony in Rochester. Twenty-two people from the deaf and hard of hearing community graduated from the Rochester Police Department's Citizen's Police Academy.

The program gives members a better understanding of police policies and procedures so they can educate others.

Graduates are more familiar with the training police officers go through and the goal is to show that working together can make our area a safer place to live.

The program also works to raise awareness about the importance of a partnership between citizens and their police force.
