The program, which is connected with the Rochester City School District, provides training for young men between 16-years-old and 20-years-old.

News10NBC caught up with Triche just after he spoke to the group.

Brandon Triche, SU Basketball, said, "I struggled with school a little bit. You know just teaching them about essential things like not feeding in to peer pressure and not letting things like that knock you off your path."

Triche was the point guard on this year's SU basketball team. He help lead the team to the Final Four.
