Man assaulted on Wilson Street

The Rochester Police Department is investigating an assault on the city's north side early Sunday morning.

Police say they were called to the corner of North and Wilson Streets around 5:30 a.m. for a report of a man injured. When officers arrived, they found a 45-year-old man who had been assaulted. The victim was transported to Rochester General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

News10NBC is working to learn the details of the attack. Officers would not confirm the nature of the assault or whether the man had been stabbed.

Police say the suspect in the attack is known.
