Officials in law enforcement and the community say it's a way for them to interact with you and learn so they can help you and your neighborhood.

On Thursday, officials announced the first event for "Project TIPS". It will be held at Pulaski Park next Thursday afternoon.

"TIPS" stands for trust, information, programs and services. The goal is to build trust and share information.

Law enforcement officials say they can help more if everybody works together.

Next Thursday, the groups will conduct anonymous community surveys and have conversations about the quality of life in the neighborhood. Then everybody will come together for a community cookout.
