Time is running out to file the "opt out" forms for a new provision of the SAFE Act.

Pistol permit holders can submit those forms in order to keep their permit information private. That means they would not be accessible under the Freedom of Information Act. But they need to be filed by Wednesday in order to be completely exempt from requests for information.

After Wednesday, you can still file the forms, but you'll have to wait for a county judge to approve it before you'll be protected from foil requests.
