When you see calorie counts on fast food menus, do you think twice about what you order? A new study says most people underestimate how many calories are actually in fast food.

Researchers at Harvard asked consumers to order from fast food menus that did not have calorie counts. Participants were then asked how many calories were in their meal.

Researchers say two out of three people underestimated the number and one in four were off by at least 500 calories.

Experts say new laws requiring menu labeling could help correct this problem and help consumers make informed decisions.
