Police: Canandaigua man broke into restaurant, stole jug of cash

A 32-year-old Canandaigua man has been charged with breaking into a restaurant and stealing donations.
Timothy Morgan is charged with burglary.
Police say Morgan broke into Patty’s Place on South Main Street around 9 p.m. Thursday and stole a water jug that was filled with hundreds of dollars in donations intended for Serenity House.
Morgan was arrested a short time later at his home. Police believe the stolen money has been recovered.
Morgan was arraigned and remanded to the Ontario County Jail.
