Canandaigua City Council passes police bike exemption

Pretty soon you'll start seeing police on bicycles again in Canandaigua's downtown business district.

A new law just passed prevented anyone from using bikes, skateboards and scooters on sidewalks downtown. That kept police, who are on bike patrol, from monitoring the area.

Earlier this week, Canandaigua City Council voted to make an exception for the officers. So they'll be back starting next month.
