Sheriff's Deputies say a Wayne County man has been charged with drinking while driving an ATV.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, 27 year-old Jacob Allen was stopped by deputies last Friday after he was seen driving an ATV down a sidewalk in Walworth.

After questioning Allen, Sheriff's Deputies say they were led to believe he was under the influence of alcohol. They say Allen then failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.

He was taken to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office and released on appearance tickets.

Allen is charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with .08-percent or greater BAC, driving on a sidewalk, operating without a helmet and operating an ATV within 100 feet of a dwelling between 12:00 a.m. and 6 a.m.

He's expected to appear in Town of Walworth court at a later date.
