Two overnight shootings on city's west side

Two men are recovering after being shot early Saturday morning.
The first shooting happened on Murray Street near Jay Street around 1:05 a.m.
The Rochester Police Department says officers were called to Strong Memorial Hospital for a 19-year-old male victim who had been brought to the hospital in a private vehicle. Officers say he was shot in the torso and suffered non-life threatening injuries. The victim told police he had been shot on Murray Street.
Then around 2:30 a.m., officers were called to Thurston Road near Milton Street for a report of a man shot. When they arrived, they did not find a victim at the scene. However, soon after, a 36-year-old male was also brought to Strong Memorial Hospital in a private vehicle with a gun shot wound to the torso.
Police say both shootings are under investigation at this time.
