A short stretch of I-490 west will close to all traffic Thursday and Friday night.
I-490 westbound from Victor (Exit 29) to Pittsford (Exit 26) will close to all traffic each night at 11:00 p.m. Crews will be setting structural steel into place for the new bridge at Bushnell's Basin (Exit 27). The road will reopen each day at 5:00a.m.
A detour will be posted directing westbound traffic from the Thruway to follow Route 96 to Kreag Road to Route 31 to re-enter I-490 westbound.
The work is part of the $4.4 million project to replace the bridge that carries an exit and entrance ramp between Route 96 and Interstate 490 in town of Perinton.
The new bridge is scheduled to reopen in mid-September.
