On Monday, The Center for Disability Rights held its "Summer Fest" event. The event was in celebration of the 23rd anniversary of the signing of the American with Disabilities Act.

People with wheelchairs were able to get a wheelchair wash or tune up and officials from different agencies in our area were also on hand to talk about their loan closet programs for people who need to borrow equipment. There was music, food and of course – fun.

Chris Hildebrandt of the Center for Disability Rights said, “We take a lot of things very seriously, so today there's a serious component that wheel chair equipment is very important. We need to maintain it, to get the most we can out of it but it's also fun. We are in the middle of the city, it's a beautiful day, we've got the music cranking, we'll have a good time."
