Rochester Police are investigating a crash that sent an officer to the hospital. It happened around 12 p.m. Saturday on the city's north side.

Officials say the officer was responding to a call for a suspicious person in the area of Hudson Avenue and Norton Street. News10NBC is told the officer was driving west on Norton Street when the crash happened.

The driver of the other car was also taken to the hospital as a precaution. Officials say neither that driver nor the officer were seriously injured.
