Irondequoit Police Chief Richard Boyan to retire

He's served his community for nearly 50 years, but this year, will be his last. The chief of police for the town of Irondequoit says, after a long career in law enforcement, he'll retire at the end of the month.
Richard Boyan has been a part of the Irondequoit Police Department for five decades. Many of those years, spent leading the department.
There's still no word on who will replace him.
