A Rochester man has been indicted on murder charges for two separate murders in the city.

Michael Walton, 22, of Rochester was indicted on three counts of second-degree murder. Police say Walton shot and killed Shamelle Warren on Fernwood Avenue on August 3. Four years earlier, police say Walton shot two people, killing one of them on Central Avenue on December 1, 2009. Twenty-eight-year-old Cesar Ostolaza was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, 30-year-old Ezequiel Perez, suffered a minor gunshot wound to his mid-torso. Walton was arrested and charged with both murders on August 12.

Walton remains held in the Monroe County Jail without bail.
