A well-known local civil rights attorney suspended from practicing law.
Christina Agola was suspended by the state appellate division earlier this week. The suspension order doesn't give details on why she was suspended, but a filing from last year recommends censuring Agola for not complying with court deadlines in nearly two dozen cases.
Agola specializes in civil rights and discrimination lawsuits. She recently represented a group of Hispanic city of Rochester workers who claimed they were told they weren't allowed to speak Spanish at work.
We contacted Agola's office for a comment but did not hear back.
