Have you ever wondered exactly what's in those chicken nuggets at fast food places? One researcher at the University of Mississippi Medical Center calls fast food chicken nuggets anything but chicken.
Dr. Richard Deshazo has studied chicken nuggets at two popular fast food restaurant and it's been published.
Dr. Richard Deshazo, researcher, said, "This is cartilage. This is gastrointestinal tissue. There's all kinds of random stuff in there that's not chicken meat."
Dr. Deshazo says they're also full of a lot of fat, salt, and sugar. Dr. Deshazo won't say where he got the chicken nuggets from that he studied.
