He may not be campaigning, but the Independence Party of Monroe County is still backing Mayor Tom Richards for re-election.
Party officials sent out an e-mail Sunday night saying even though Richards is not actively campaigning, he'll still be on the ballot November 5.
Richards lost the Democratic primary last month to City Council President Lovely Warren.
The party chairman says voters of any party can vote on the Independence line, where Richards' name will appear.
Lovely Warren and Green Party candidate Alex White will also be on the ballot.
