Raising money to help beat breast cancer is the goal of the National Pink Bra Tour. The tour came to Rochester on Sunday.
Flower City CrossFit, which is based in Brighton, has raised more than $30,000 to help support this campaign against breast cancer and promote early detection.
Organizers say it's not just women who are getting involved.
"It's being represented by the CrossFit community and about 60-percent of our participants are men, which is a rarity that you find in breast cancer, so it's not only exposing it to women and making sure that they get access and awareness to screening, but it's also letting the men be involved with the movement,” said event organizer Zionna Hanson.
The Pink Bra Tour started in September in California. Flower City CrossFit was the final stop. It was one of only eight CrossFit affiliates across the country invited to take part. Flower City CrossFit has supported this campaign since 2010.
