A Penfield woman, who drove into a crowd of people outside a Rochester bar killing a man, will not be released from prison.
According to the state Department of Corrections, 53-year-old Sandra Arena was denied parole because the parole board found a reasonable probability that Arena would violate the law again if she was released.
This was the first time she faced a parole board since she was found guilty of manslaughter in 2009.
A year earlier, she drove into a crowd in the parking lot of what was Nasty D's bar on Broadway. She hurt four people and killed 22-year-old Chad Coleman.
The next time she will be reconsidered for parole is November 2015.
