A Chili family can breathe a sigh of relief now that a plan to put a power line through their farm property has been placed on hold.

News10NBC first reported on the Krenzer family farm in September. The state Public Service Commission said Thursday it wants to look at alternatives to a power project which authorities say involved RG&E running lines and building a substation on the land.

The commission's reps said after receiving comments from property owners, state and local officials it would be appropriate to look at other alternatives.

Senator Charles Schumer also spoke out in defense of the farm which has reportedly been in the Krenzer family for four generations.
