Monroe County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested and charged three men with possessing counterfeit money.

Deputies were called to the Perinton McDonalds on Pittsford-Palmyra Road on Friday. Employees called 911 after they say Andrew Tomasso, 20, and Jonathan Alger, 23, both of Fairport, tried to pay for food with a counterfeit $10 bill. The two were arrested a short time later at their home in Fairport.

Investigators say Tomasso and Alger admitted to passing numerous counterfeit bills over the past week.

While searching the home, investigators found several laptop computers, printers and counterfeit cash, which they say belonged to 22-year-old Eric Sykes. Investigators say Sykes admitted to passing and creating multiple $10 and $20 bills.

All three has been charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument. Sykes was sent to the Monroe County Jail on $5,000 bail. Tomasso and Alger are due back in court at a later date.
