The father of a 21 year old man shot and killed inside a mini mart talked about his son Friday. This is happening one day after a 15-year-old was arrested in connection with his death.

Police say Samuel Gibson was inside the store with another person two weeks ago when a group walked in. Police say there was an argument and shots were fired. Gibson died at the scene.

While speaking with News10NBC, Gibson had a message for parents in the community.

Willie Gibson said, “All I can tell them is to watch their kids and find out if they're carrying guns because there's a lot of shooting going on right now in these streets here and they have to be careful.”

A 15-year-old is charged with second-degree murder in Gibson’s death. The Monroe County District Attorney’s Office say his name is Rasaan Taylor.
