Report: New York second most expensive for child care

A new report out ranks child care costs across the country and parents in New York are paying some of the highest prices for care for infants.

The report by Child Care Aware, a non-profit, says a two-parent family in New York State spent more than 16-percent of their income on daycare at a center.

The organization says on average across the state, most of the expensive services are in urban areas.

Who's paying more? According to the report, parents in Oregon can spend more than 18-percent of their income on child care for infants.
