Two people had to be rescued Monday night after firefighters say they were unable to climb out of a gorge on the city's north side.
Firefighters say they were called to a gorge near the Veteran's Bridge just before 7 p.m.
Firefighters aren't quite sure how the two became stuck in the gorge, but it appears they were hiking and weren't able to get back out.
Officials tell News10NBC the man was able to walk up with some help, but a rope had to be used to assist the female out. The woman was taken to Rochester General Hospital to be treated for possible hypothermia. The male was also taken to the hospital for observation.
