The town of Canandaigua's highway department will be replacing a pipe on Wyffels Road this week that will force the closure of road.

Work is expected to be done Thursday, July 17, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Due to the tight conditions highway employees will be unable to decrease to a one-lane highway and the entire road will be blocked, according to Highway Superintendent Jim Fletcher.

Drivers should detour to Middle Cheshire Road during this time, Fletcher said. Questions can be directed to the highway superintendent at 394-3300.
