A man is dead following a one-car crash in Chili. It happened around 11:30 a.m. on Union Street near the New York State Thruway.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies say three friends left Cragie Brae Golf Club in three different cars and headed northbound on Union Street. Sheriff's deputies say one of the men, 27-year-old Cameron Martin, attempted to pass the other two cars on a blind hill crest and swerved right to avoid the head-on. Deputies say he lost control of his car and hit a tree.

Martin was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
