Group opposing Seneca Co. casino heads to court Wednesday

A group opposed to a casino in Seneca County will head to court Wednesday.

Casino Free Tyre plans on asking a judge to throw out a resolution by the town approving the casino plan. The hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m.

Wilmorite, the firm behind that proposal, says the new resort will cost $425 million.

The New York State Gaming Commission has to approve Wilmorite's application which is expected to happen in the coming months.
